Tips For Booking Your Wedding DJ
So you’re engaged – congratulations! Now here comes the fun (and sometimes a bit overwhelming!) part of finding and booking all your suppliers.
To hopefully help make it easier for you, we’ve gathered all of our best tips for you here, from planning your wedding entertainment throughout your entire day, to the best times to book our fantastic team of DJs and details of our booking process.

Things to consider about your wedding venue
1. First things first – have you already chosen your venue and date?

2. Have you thought about how you’ll keep your guests entertained between your ceremony and wedding breakfast?
Luckily we have a host of options for this part of the day to ensure your guests get in the party spirit!

3. How light or dark is your venue at night?
You might need some uplights in the darker corners to help create a glow around your room, and our giant light-up LOVE letters are hugely popular, as you can see from all the photos in the link below!
4. Is there room for a band as well as a DJ?
If not, a DJ and a saxophone player combo is the perfect solution – and we just so happen to work with some of the best sax players in the business!
5. Have you thought about where your guests will be putting your wedding presents and cards?
Take a look at our Post Box as a nice additional touch for your present table!
6. Where will you have your first dance?
Many of our couples opt to take their first dance as husband and wife on our LED dance floor, completing this most magical moment with our “Dancing on a cloud effect” dry ice, our confetti cannons, and our show-stopping indoor firework pyrotechnics!
And speaking of your first dance, if you’re interested in taking some first dance lessons we recommend our buddy Steph from Kelsall Choreo, and for a small fee we can even also pre-mix your wedding first dance for you if you have more than one song in mind!
7. And finally, have you thought about ways to keep your guests in the party mood throughout the night?
We love a good party, and we have a ton of entertainment options to get your guests talking and interacting from the first dance to the final hurrah. From high-energy CO2 guns and professional casino tables to photo and video booths, your guests will be occupied all night long!

The best time to book your wedding DJ
We have a great team of DJs who all share the same level of enthusiasm in making your event a day to remember, but even with a team of EIGHT DJs we still get fully booked pretty quickly! So to avoid disappointment, we recommend booking as soon as you’ve decided we’re the right DJ company for you. We only ask for a small booking fee to help you guarantee your booking, so it’s a no-brainer to get us booked up!
We generally find that most people book in January and February after getting engaged at Christmas or Valentine’s Day, and most wedding dates tend to be in July and August to make the most of the British summer weather, so if you fall into either of these categories, we recommend getting organised early to ensure you secure your date!
Here’s an idea of how far in advance you should book your wedding DJ:
- 18+ months ahead of your wedding date if you’re super organised
- 14-12 months before your wedding date is playing it safe
- Trying to book less than 11 months ahead is risky

Kindly complete our Enquiry Form, then we will send you a quote and further information.

Once you’re happy to go ahead we will send you our booking details and ask you to complete our Confirmed Booking Form. Please note we charge a small fee to secure your booking.

30 days before your wedding date we will contact you to go over any remaining questions, and most importantly to gather any song requests using our Song Requests Form!

Once this has all been received we are then ready to party! Sit back and relax while we take care of everything, liaising with your wedding co-ordinator at your venue on the day.
